He announced his resignation from the party in a letter dated May 24 and addressed to the National Chairman of the main opposition party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu. Besides dumping the PDP, the presidential aspirant also said he was pulling out of the contest for the party’s ticket – barely three days to the exercise.
